 Office Live Common Problems

 

Fix All: Sometimes the solution to website problems is your computer. Delete all offline content, and set all security levels to default, close all browser windows, also check any anti-virus, spyware, firewall software. Sometimes restarting the computer is all that is need. Still don't work add officelive.com and your domain.com to the safe list of IE, Popup Blockers, and your Antivirus/Spyware/Firewall.

 

Cannot Upload Picture or Documents?
Add officelive.com, https://memebercenter.office.microsoft.com, and your website address to the Trusted sites list and to the Allowed site for any pop-up blocker. Also check any antivirus/spyware/firewalls.

Adding to Safe List (for IE 7), click tools, internet options, security tab, click trusted sites, click sites, this will open the Trusted site list, add your your trusted sites.
Pop Allowed Sites, Click tools, Pop-Up Blocker, Pop-Up Blocker Settings, add the sites to the allowed sites.

 

Font Dysplasia

How to Login
Go to http://officelive.com and click sign-in in the top right corner of the page.

Cannot Login/You are not Recognized as a Subscription holder?
The most likely reason for this is that you are logging in with the wrong account, first make sure you are signed out of any other account, close your browser and try to login again, you email address should be in the format email@yourdomain.com, if you are unsure what your email acount was you can check http://whois.com to find out.

 

Uploading Documents to document gallery error.

"Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted or net work problems may be preventing a connection to the server"

Possible Solution

1. Go to Start, Control Panel, User Accounts
2. Click on Change My .Net Passport
3. Click on Use a different Passport
4. Add (or select) the Windows Live ID account for the site
5. Click OK

Cannot Edit my site or when I type in my URL it don't work?

Check http://whois.com, If your domain is available, then there is unfortunately at this time there is no solution for this problem, Microsoft has failed to register your domain.  It can take up 72 hours for you site to be registered and view it, until then you will have a temporary address, you can start to design your site during this time.

Site lookups or Freezes?

This is being cause by Java Script with external refernce, such as Google Adsense, Analytics, ect.  Remove it and check under solutions for intergrating such items.

   

ZIP File

This has been a commonly reported issues.  Zip files uploaded to the document gallery somehow become corrupt, currently there is no known fix.  This has now been fixed!

 

Trying to open Explorer View?

When trying to open explorer, the Logon repeatedly comes up, simply enter login information once, click login, once the box appears the second just click cancel, and the explorer should open.
