Purchasing Additional Domains |
Purchasing a second domain can be a good idea, especially if you only have a forth level domain which would mydomain.web.officelive.com. Second level domains can add more traffic, plus Search Engines do not highly rank forth level domains, which is why is important to have at least one second level domain, plus a second level domain should also be the primary domain for your site, a second level domain would be: mydomain.com.
1. To get started first make sure you are signed in as the owner, only the owner can add/purchase domains.
2. From the links at the top click More and from the drop down go to Account Management.

3. In Account Management go to the Domain Manager and click Purchase Additional Domains.

4. After clicking Purchase Additional domains, you should be brought to the Add/Manage services where can choose a domain name as well as TLD (Top Level Domain), you can choose either .com, .net, .org, or .info. After you have entered what you want for a domain click Check Availability, if your domain is not available, Office Live will make an attempt to give you suggestions of domains that will work instead or you can try for a different domain. Your domain will be $14.95/year.

5. Once you have an acceptable domain name click Confirm.

6. Enter your contact information, billing address, as well as billing information, clicking Save and Continue each time.
7. Once you have your contact and billing information complete, click I accept, complete my order.
